All people joining the website will receive email notifications for each post.

There are a couple of reasons for this.  One is to make sure you don’t miss anything.  The other is to help you know there is something going on to encourage your participation.

This is now the default action and to unsubscribe, you need to opt out manually by logging in and unsubscribing from each individual forum (currently, there are just 3).
