Due to circumstances far beyond our scope, your board, “The Tree,” “Elvis,” or whatever you prefer to call it, has given thoughtful and careful deliberation to all known factors of the situation that is 2020 and concluded that we will not be hosting an event this year: neither in person, nor online. We remain always in one another’s hearts, and preparations have already begun to welcome you once again to the 2021 gathering at Neal Creek Resort.
What has brought us together for the past 24 years may have started with our common love and respect for an incredible instrument, but what keeps us coming back is each other. It is the chance to see and to hug and to dance and to learn, to spend quiet times one-on-one and to do the Hokey-Pokey in a great big circle. It is to hear the music our friends and heroes play and to discover the music within ourselves that we never knew we had. It is to eat delicious food prepared with love over thoughtful conversation in the clean air under giant trees. It is to learn and to teach and to share; to discover and to connect. It is the joy of being part of a group of people who can come together and be Excellent to each other.
This year we all need to do some thoughtful work on how we can grow as a people. We need to take care of one another and listen and learn–and teach–the ways of Excellent being, not just on individual levels, but in our towns, cities, countries, and worldwide. We must have hope and perseverance for this transformation. We will get there. We love you and we look forward to seeing you in 2021. Be well and be Excellent.
Our mission is dedicated to sharing the music, history, craft, and culture of the didgeridoo. We gather once a year and hope to make it a year round collective, sharing our love of the Didge with children and schools, promoting awareness and education of the Aboriginal culture and their traditions.
With blessings and gratitude, and hope for everyone’s continued safety.
