Thanks Terri.
Would you be ok with (you or me) putting that into a Google Document so I don’t have to keep downloading it each time? It gives us space to comment directly in the document. It’s also ok if you don’t want to work that way.
August 14, 2018 at 3:31 AM #4885adminKeymasterWould like to see flyers by at least Memorial Day weekend so they can make it to Folklife in Seattle, maybe something for Seattle World Rhythm Festival in late April. You guys knows what it means to have flyers that early.
June 27, 2017 at 10:18 AM #3184adminKeymasterI missed this post. Solely based on last year’s attendance vs. this year’s numbers so far, I don’t think there would be much need for this. It’s something we’ve had and needed more of in the past, but as we grow, hopefully it has a place again soon.
March 10, 2017 at 1:09 PM #2693adminKeymasterThat’s starting to sound like a plan actually, but maybe we can mix up dinner with a pasta bar or something like that.
March 4, 2017 at 10:33 PM #2602adminKeymasterHey, I thought someone had been in touch with you. Well someone will be soon if not. 😉
January 16, 2017 at 2:25 PM #2289adminKeymasterGot it!
January 12, 2017 at 1:42 AM #2258adminKeymasterDone (I think).
January 11, 2017 at 1:34 AM #2159adminKeymasterWho are you talking to John?
January 6, 2017 at 12:32 AM #2116adminKeymasterThanks for the reminder Robert, I’ll have to do some figuring out and get on that when I do figure it out.
January 6, 2017 at 12:30 AM #2114adminKeymasterThe small few of us are trying to build the confidence to move forward on this. To me it’s a much more daunting task than last year given the cost overruns from last year. I think we’ll be getting together soon to have a good pep rally and make some decisions that should have been made back in November. We’ll let everyone know something as soon as we know something. That’s the best I can do for now.
October 24, 2016 at 11:08 AM #2055adminKeymasterNot yet. I’ll try to rally the troops soon. With the events over, motivation is hard to come by after working so hard to get this thing going.
Thanks for the nudge.
August 16, 2016 at 3:51 PM #1933adminKeymasterPRE-REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE SOMETIME THURSDAY
I cannot give you a specific time, it will happen when I become overwhelmed with entering the information into our database. 😛 Probably late night, but no guarantees.
$50 if you can get in before that
$75 at the gate.July 30, 2016 at 1:10 AM #1770adminKeymasterYeah so I noticed that the header on this website said
Dedicated to sharing the history, craft, and culture of the didjeridu.
Should be
InDidjInUs: Dedicated to sharing the music, history, craft, and culture of the didjeridu.
Got pasted into the FAQ, now changed on the website, but it’s in the PDF so I’ll fix that.
Updated version attached also

July 22, 2016 at 1:41 AM #1569adminKeymasterThanks everyone, I’m open to more ideas for content/layout/navigation for future updates.
July 12, 2016 at 7:06 PM #1369adminKeymasterI spoke with Margie briefly today and she voiced the same concern, so it looks like we’ll have to revisit it at the meeting.
July 12, 2016 at 1:01 AM #1352adminKeymasterAnnouncement Draft:
Greeting goes here:
We have a limited amount (should we say how many yet?) of scholarships available for people who cannot afford to attend the Conference. At this point, there are no scholarships available for the Festival but we’re willing to take a look at this as things progress.
The board will decide who is granted a scholarship. The guidelines for applying for a scholarship are as follows:
You must write an essay (as long or as short as you like, be creative!) as to why you feel you should get a scholarship with information such as:
Age and location
About you
What excites you about the didgeridoo?
Why you are excited to attend the Conference?People with a history of volunteering/contributing to the gathering may be considered first.
To apply for a scholarship, send your essay in an email to scholarships@indidjin.us
July 11, 2016 at 10:37 PM #1350adminKeymasterThanks for your input Robert, I always value what you have to say. It was a board decision and we took a lot of things into account. There are no hard and fast policies, but people who work or performers may have other options. Most of the good people give more than $50, so it generally shouldn’t be a burden on them.
Things are getting pretty hectic now and I don’t see making any changes at this point, but we can revisit it next year.
July 11, 2016 at 4:39 PM #1338adminKeymasterSure
July 11, 2016 at 4:04 PM #1334adminKeymasterAt PCF, the $50 is on top of the entry fee. We discussed this at the last meeting, but can revisit it if you think we need to.
June 30, 2016 at 1:57 AM #1194adminKeymasterI generally don’t disagree with any of those requirements/recommendations, however I just think “we’ll know it when we see it” might be our best guideline.
An income requirement would be invasive and we all tend to spend however much we make, so there can be poor people with large incomes and vice versa.
Some of it could also be based on merit. Perhaps this person has a history of contributing significantly in some way and are known to be lacking in money.
June 28, 2016 at 5:48 PM #1160adminKeymasterWhich event Janis?
The Festival, you can contact Margie or Karen Bishop
The Conference, I guess I’m doing it.
Some differences. Festival will likely be much like it has been, but we’re implementing a sort of application process. I think we’ve all seen your stuff, so you shouldn’t need that. The Conference is small and the intent at this point is to put all the vending in a large 30ft. yurt with maybe some room outsize for a canopy if it gets full, but the idea is to have an indoor space so vendors don’t feel like they need to sit there with their stuff. It’ll be more secure and with the smaller crowd, no one will miss a sale if they aren’t in the booth.
June 22, 2016 at 11:35 AM #1061adminKeymasterReviving this thread
Indidjinus: Dedicated to the sharing of the history, craft and culture of the didgeredo. (something like that)
I’m no copy editor, but from what I know even simpler is better and I’m thinking
InDidjInUs: Dedicated to sharing the music, history, craft, and culture of the didjeridu.
I’m using with the J spelling because it’s how it’s spelled in InDidjInUs. The order of music, history, craft and culture is arbitrary but I can see purposefully arranging it either in order of priority, to make it flow better, or just to make it easier to remember.
June 17, 2016 at 2:08 PM #1043adminKeymasterRobert,
As you may recall, I’ve van camped all 15(16?) I’ve been going and I’m planning on tent camping this time. I’ll probably be traveling solo, so that makes that a little easier. The parking lot will likely be a parking area and you may not want to camp in your vehicle although it may work out, it’s kinda hard to tell without everyone there and set up.
May 25, 2016 at 10:42 AM #930adminKeymasterOk then we probably need to work on at least 2 things. A mission statement which is short like Dennis’ submission and what you are looking for.
May 25, 2016 at 10:25 AM #926adminKeymasterWhat do you mean by more? Longer? More descriptive?
May 24, 2016 at 10:28 PM #918adminKeymasterI meant to put this on the agenda for the last meeting. Something short and sweet would be best.
May 24, 2016 at 2:14 PM #911adminKeymasterAs I might have said in that original post, it was to add a bit of familiarity to the site. I like the extended profiles with profile photos and cover photos, but that’s it. There is a lot going on with it that helps with using the site, it’s just not totally visible.
Groups can be created, but I’m not sure they are needed, but didn’t want to eliminate that option in case people wanted it. I’m going to look in to disabling the friends thing unless someone thinks we need it.

It’s something that came with a plugin. I don’t really like it because it seems cliquey to me. I just never turned it off because we never discussed it.
May 17, 2016 at 10:27 AM #849adminKeymasterIf you scan it in a decent resolution, I can Photoshop out the text and we can add our own.
